Arcus imports wines from all over the world: the USA, Chile, Argentina, France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Australia, Portugal, Hungary and South Africa. The wine is transported to our plant in 25 000-litre tank containers, 24 000-litre flexibags in standard general cargo containers, or in road tankers. Freight times from producers may last up to 60 days (from Australia).
The Arcus business concept is to select the best consumer wines; import wine in tanks; and bottle the wine in Norway. We are the only company with this capability, because Arcus, alone, has its own bottling plant for wines in Norway. We have acquired an unmatched knowledge of the Norwegians’ taste in wines, and our buyers travel to the world’s wine-producing districts to select wines for our brands.
